About OnStar Roadside Assistance About OnStar Roadside Assistance

Roadside Assistance is a feature of some OnStar plans to help with common vehicle issues, such as running out of gas, fixing a flat or towing to a repair center.

There are four ways to get Roadside Assistance through OnStar depending on your plan.

  • OnStar button: Press the blue OnStar button in your vehicle to connect with an OnStar Advisor who can assist in getting the help you need.
  • OnStar Guardian app: Open your OnStar Guardian App and tap Roadside Assistance to request help.
  • Vehicle Mobile App: Roadside Assistance can also be requested in your vehicle mobile app (myChevrolet, myBuick, myGMC and myCadillac).
  • Infotainment System: If available, you can open your myChevrolet app on your infotainment system and select the type of help you need.

Roadside Assistance is included in the Premium, Essentials, and Safety & Security plans as well as with the OnStar Guardian app. Members with only an OnStar Guardian app must request Roadside Assistance through the Guardian app. Subscribers can get help with many services, including jump-starts, flat tires, tows and unlocking doors. Go to the plans page to find out more.
